Gerlos in summer

Summer vacation in the Zillertal Arena

Hiking is in!

Take on your hiking shoes and follow the pathes through the amazing landscape along the rivers and up to the highest peaks. Enjoy sunbathing and water sports on the Durlaßboden-Lake or feel the exitment with paragliding, climbing, flying fox, canyoning and mountainbiking.

The Zillertal Arena is a hiker's paradise, where nature lovers receive everything they wish. With the Schwarzachtal, the Wimmertal, the Schönachtal and the Krummbachtal four of the five valleys of Gerlos can be reached directly from the hotel without car or cable car.

The Wildgerlostal is located a bit further away. Just 50 meters from the hotel there is a bus stop where the free hiking bus passes regularly. It takes only a walk of around 700 meters to get to the valley station of the gondola Isskogel.

Have a break!

And relax on a hut, enjoy the hospitality of the people, the delicious culinaries and the music anywhere. Enjoy the panoramic view over the valley and listen to the cow bells.

Krimml waterfalls

The Krimml waterfalls are one of the greatest natural attractions of Austria. At a distance of only 17 kilometres away from our hotel, the Krimml waterfalls are an ideal excursion destination and hiking area.

Due to the impressive height of 380 meters, the Krimml waterfalls belong to the five largest waterfalls in the world. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Hohe Tauern National Park you can admire the overwhelming power of the water when visiting this natural spectacle and at the same time take advantage of its healthy, finely atomized and negatively charged water drops.

All nature lovers have the possibility to walk on the waterfall trail of Krimml between mid-April and late October.

Durlassboden-Stausee

Another great attraction of the region is the artificial lake Durlassboden, which is located about five kilometres from our hotel. Numerous activities such as sailing, windsurfing, rowing, pedal-boating, fishing and of course swimming await you. The refreshing water temperatures at about 1400 meters above sea level provide also during very hot summer days pleasant cooling.
